Q. Does First Mutual Insurance Company accept online payments?

A. Yes! An insured and/or your agent can make your payment online with either a credit card or check. Simply click on "Make a Payment" from our home page.


Q. Does First Mutual Insurance Company accept payments by credit card?

A. Yes! We accept all major credit cards. You can make your credit card payment online by clicking on "Make a Payment" from our home page.


Q. Does First Mutual Insurance Company accept escrow billed applications (applications in which your mortgage company pays your insurance premium)?

A. Yes! First Mutual Insurance Company accepts applications that are mortgagee-billed. In addition, we will bill the mortgagee for the entire premium, so you do not have to send us a down payment if your mortgage company will be paying your insurance premium.


Q. Does First Mutual Insurance Company have any payment plans?

A. Yes! First Mutual Insurance Company offers several options for insureds to make their premium payments. We offer annual, semi-annual, quarterly and monthly payments. For semi-annual and quarterly payments, there is a $5.00 installment fee applied to your bill for each payment. For monthly payments, we will set your payments up as EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) and there is a $.50 per month installment fee for selecting EFT. For each payment plan, the catastrophe fee is included in the down payment that is due at policy issuance.

A. Yes! You can submit requested photos to us by e-mail at photos@fmicnc.com.


Q. Can I use a cost approximator other than First Mutual Insurance Company's?

A. Yes! First Mutual Insurance Company's dwelling cost approximator is fast and easy. However, we understand that, as an agent, you work with several other approximators. First Mutual Insurance Company will accept a cost approximator from Marshall Swift/Boeck. Please e-mail the MSB approximator to underwriting if you choose to use MSB's form.


Q. Does First Mutual Insurance Company have online rating?

A. Yes! First Mutual Insurance Company agents use a software program developed especially for our agents called ChoiceConnect. Agents access ChoiceConnect through a Remote Desktop Connection, which allows for immediate updates to the program. Agents are able to quote and upload policies, as well as submit loss notices, request endorsements, view forms, check payments and view commission statements, as well as other features that we update regularly.
